JOB DESCRIPTION

This Project Manager/Functional Consultant (Odoo ERP) position plays a key role in:

• Leading Odoo ERP implementation projects
• Acting as a Functional advisor for clients
• Supporting pre-sales activities such as requirement analysis, solution design, and demo presentations
  This role requires strong business understanding, client communication skills, and hands-on Odoo functional expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management

• Manage end-to-end Odoo ERP implementation projects
• Define project scope, timeline, milestones, and deliverables
• Coordinate with technical teams (developers, QA, DevOps) and stakeholders
• Monitor project progress, risks, and quality
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

Odoo Functional Consulting

• Gather and analyze business requirements from clients
• Map business processes to Odoo standard modules
• Configure and customize Odoo modules: Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Finance, Manufacturing (MRP), CRM, HR, Project (depending on client needs)
• Prepare functional documents:
• Business Requirement Document (BRD)
• Functional Specification (FS)
• UAT scenarios and support

Pre-Sales & Solution Consulting

• Support sales team in pre-sales meetings
• Conduct Odoo demos tailored to client industries
• Propose solution architecture and implementation approach
• Provide effort estimation, timeline, and scope input
• Assist in preparing proposals, SOWs, and presentations

Client Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the main point of contact for clients
• Advise clients on best practices and change management
• Manage client expectations and handle escalations professionally
• Build long-term client relationships in the Malaysia market

REQUIREMENTS

Must Have

• 3+ years experience in Odoo ERP implementation
• Strong knowledge of Odoo functional modules
• Experience acting as: Project Manager and/or Functional Consultant and/or Solution Consultant
• Good understanding of business processes (Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing)
• Experience working directly with customers
• Ability to run workshops, demos, and presentations
• Fluent in English
• Based in Malaysia (local market knowledge is a big plus)

Nice to Have

• Experience in pre-sales or solution consulting
• Odoo Certification (Functional / Accounting / Project)
• Knowledge of Malaysia business practices (SST, local accounting flows)
• Experience with other ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics)
• Basic understanding of Odoo technical architecture (helpful, not mandatory)
